Gill Ambrose was brought up in West Yorkshire and worked as a teacher in Yorkshire and Cambridge before taking time out of paid work to be a full-time parent of small children. She is now a member of the Liturgical Commission and of the General Synod, and is editor of Roots Worship magazine, a resource for those preaching on the Revised Common Lectionary. She is married to Tom, the vicar of a Cambridge parish, and has two adult children.

Simon Kershaw has worked in the computer software industry for over 20 years, mostly in Cambridge. Responsible for a range of liturgical material available on the internet, he is Secretary of Christians on the Internet, and a member of the Society for Liturgical Study and of the Ely Diocesan Liturgical Committee. He is married to Karen and they have two children, Jennifer and Alexander.
