Invitation to Confession
When the Lord comes,
he will bring to light things now hidden in darkness,
and will disclose the purposes of his heart.
Therefore in the light of Christ let us confess our sins.             1 Cor 4.5

Introduction to the Peace
In the tender mercy of our God,
the dayspring from on high shall break upon us,
to give light to those who dwell in darkness
   and in the shadow of death,
and to guide our feet into the way of peace.                      Luke 1.78f

God has made us one in Christ.
He has set his seal upon us
and as a pledge of what is to come
