God of wisdom and love,
who gave to William Temple a largeness of mind and heart
to lead your people in faith and work:
kindle our hearts to follow him
with passion for unity in the Church and justice for the poor,
after the pattern of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
