Collect
O saving and life-giving God,
who inspired Edith Cavell
to nurse the sick and wounded,
and to give her life for the freedom of others:
help us to be patriots for your kingdom,
showing your compassion for all creation,
and sharing in the suffering and victory
of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
