God of truth,
who inspired Dietrich Bonhöffer
to build communities of faith in the face of oppression:
give us the same passion for justice and peace
that we too may stand firm against evil,
and follow your Son, even through death itself;
for the love of him who hung on the cross,
the same Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
